DO YOU REALLY VALUE YOUR LOCAL CHURCH?
Thursday, August 12th, 2010
Ephesians 1:22-23 (NLT) – “God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. 23 And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.”
The Lord is in the midst of the church. In fact, the local church is His body on earth. Do you realize one important way believers show their love & appreciation for the Lord is by how much value they place on His local church?
We declare our love & appreciation for people and things in a lot of different ways. Here are a few for your consideration:
Are we as interested in Revival today as we were, “Back in the Day?” Does today’s church even understand what Revival means? There are many definitions of Revival. The very word “Revival” presupposes life. You can only revive what has already had life. Revival paints a picture of a life that has become sick, weak, or apathetic. The nearest analogy I can think of is a case where a man apparently drowns.
God is eager to manifest His reviving presence and power in every generation. But we have to take the steps to prepare for the release of His fullness in our midst.
