We met today for the first quiz meet of the year. Everyone had a great time, but we’ll need to work on our concentration a bit more. We had 13 children quizzing. Everyone quizzed on the blue level; however, awards were still given out in two age levels. Congratulations to everyone for a job well done.

Early Elementary Group

1st place Sarah (Waycross)

2nd place Katie (Moultrie) and Jordan (Valdosta)

Upper Elementary Group

1st place Deborah (Moultrie)

2nd place Ally (Waycross) and Randi (Moultrie)

Congratulations to Ally for a perfect round (20 straight questions answered correctly) and also to Deborah for reciting 5 scriptures.

Next meet will be in Waycross on Nov 21. Since we will be skipping October. I will be available to recite scripture to any children at the Improve Your Serve conference in Tifton on Oct 17. I will also let you know if there is a meet on the east coast that you might want to participate in.

Last year I offered one of my Christmas plays to small churches with small budgets. I could not believe the requests that I received. My generosity is still strong, but this year I found a way to get the play to people more easily. So I offer it to you again. Here is the info on accessing United Streaming. I know you’ll enjoy having this resource at your fingertips!

For those of you who don’t know, this is a free resource for homeschoolers in GA! (Most states have to pay for a subscription). With an account, you have access to thousands of educational videos and clips about a wide variety of topics. All of the Magic School Bus videos are on there, as well as the NEST History videos!!! (and MUCH more)

NOTE: This is a collection that you will need to preview many of the videos to make sure they are teaching content that lines up with the Word of God! I’ve run across some things that I didn’t want to show my kids—but it is an excellent resource for adding visual/media experience to your homeschooling. Here is the information on how to get an account:
